Welcome To The Amanda Bishop Dance School.

The Amanda Bishop Dance School is a family run business established in 1996. We teach Tap & Modern Dance from the age of 6 up to 18 and have recently added Adult Tap Classes to our timetable. We currently have two dance nights, Thursday Nights at The Coombes Primary School in Arborfield and Friday Nights at The Woosehill Community Centre. Unlike many conventional dance schools we do not offer examinations as we feel that our students should learn at their own pace and not be confined to a syllabus or be defined by grades. Many of our younger students far surpass the conventions of a typical syllabus for their age group. However we do encourage our pupils to participate in our annual Medal Tests and Presentation Evenings, which often improves their confidence and sense of achievement. Our ethos is to provide a happy and supportive learning environment, encourage exercise, social skills and a high standard of dance expertise. Many of our long standing students go on to become student teachers in the school, teaching them responsibility, a sense of community and a passion for dance! We like to celebrate the individual here; we have no desire to turn out identikit pupils, so if this sounds like you please do not hesitate in giving us a shout!
